BUSAN | DAY 02
- warm dessert -
We took the bus from Gamcheon Culture Village to Igidae Park. We had to change the bus near some food market, but we had a couple few minutes before the bus came, so Tae asked if I wanted to get some food. “No… Aaron is waiting”, I thought. “… but it wouldn’t take that long, right?”, so I gave in to my gluttony, and we ended up having to take another bus because we spent to much time eating the fish cake #lol

Before going to the park, we stopped by a traditional Korean dessert place near by the park called Hal-mae Shaved Ice (할매팥빙수). On a cold day like this, there is nothing better than eating warm red bean soup to satisfy my sweet craving and warm myself at the same time. We got the shaved ice too, just because. If you’re into traditional dessert, you will like this. We got the Shaved Ice with Red Bean (팥빙수) and the Sweet Red Bean Porridge (단팥죽). The Porridge came with rice cake which is also my favorite. It was not too sweet and had some salty taste mixed in — perfect! There was no one here at the time, but from other review blogs, they could get really packed.
The only this I didn’t like about this place was the bathroom. Not that it was dirty but it was OUTSIDE. In the summer, it might be ok, but not in the summer. Not that I had any choice, so I had to just suck it up.

We left the dessert place for Igidae Park (이기대공원). Aaron told me that he found a spot and asked me to take Tae there. I got a little anxious, worried and started feeling a little bad for letting him wait in the cold for several hours now. I heard from Tae that he just recovered from some kind of fever recently too. Oh no… what if he died.., my friend will become a widow before even getting proposed to…!!

We walked into the park, and it was one of the most beautiful parks I’ve ever seen. Thank you, Aaron! At the front, there’s glass building that seemed that it got shut down.

The path is right next to the ocean so you could feel the cool breeze as you're walking. The view was breathtaking, and I would love to spend more time walking here, but I had a more important mission!
I was kind of rushed which is not something I usually do, and then there was my friend Tae who took her time appreciating God’s creation. Her regular pace felt so slow at the time.
"Let's go down the stairs!", I told my friend as we arrived at that place that Aaron told me to bring her. "That ahjussi looks like he's going commit suicide", my friend said when she a man sitting there not too far away, not knowing that it was her boyfriend. I brought her closer to him, and she still didn't recognize him, until Aaron got up and called her.

Aaron them made a proposal to Tae, and I was their camera-man. My camera's battery ran out, so I had to take pictures with my phone. While I was taking a video for them, I couldn't help but tearing up out of joy. God has been so good to Tae, and I'm really thankful that He brought someone like Aaron into her life. I'm sure that Tae is a blessing to him as well.
